LAVA S12 Review

LAVA S12 is a not very powerful Android cellphone, including a quite powerful 600 megahertz CPU, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 3.2" touch-screen. We will get a better understanding of this cellphone's wonders when we get into deeper details.

Lava sells the LAVA S12 with a good 600 megahertz CPU, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 chip. The LAVA S12 comes with a poor 122,88 MB internal memory, which might be enough for some users knowing that this cellphone also has a slot for an SD memory card to store pictures and videos and even some apps and games that allow external memory installation.

Although this phone is as big as 4.61 inches long and 2.26 inches wide, it only holds a way smaller 3.2" display. This device is a little bit thick compared to nowadays phones, with its 0.53" thickness. Lava didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 4.23 ounces device.

This phone has a nice 3.2-inches screen with a 480 x 320 resolution, which makes all images and videos look nice.

The LAVA S12 includes WiFi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a modem or router) and 3G fast data connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The LAVA S12 uses a SIM card for GSM connection.

This cellphone has only a 5 mega-pixels back side camera.

This cellphone uses a medium capacity 1300 mAh replaceable battery that provides the LAVA S12 a below average battery duration comparing with other similar phones. Lava afirms this cellphone has a 590 hs stand by time and a 10.8 hs talk time.

This phone also includes a couple cool characteristics such as Bluetooth (enables communication with other devices, computers, and accessories), GPS (Global Positioning System) and Radio, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor and Proximity Sensor.
