LG Fireweb Review

LG Fireweb is a not so powerful Firefox cellphone, featuring a 4-inches screen, a 5 mega-pixels back facing camera and a great performance processing unit running at 1 gigahertz. But it's time to get into more details.

This phone isn't very light comparing to other cellphones , with a weight of 4.32 oz. This device just has 4.48 inches long, but it's still able to fit a a 4" display. This cellphone is just 0.35 inches thick, making its way into the thinnest cellphones podium.

LG packed this device with a interesting 4 inches screen, and a resolution of 480 x 320 , making everything look quite good. Its screen uses TFT yes technology, but it doesn't allow multi-touch gestures.

The LG Fireweb comes with a powerful CPU running at 1 GHz, packed into the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227A system chip. Graphic intensive tasks often uses lots of processing time, so this cellphone counts with an extra 128 MHz Adreno 200 graphics processing unit to improve overall performance. The LG Fireweb comes with a fair 2 GB internal memory, which is quite good considering it also has an SD memory card expansion slot to store songs, photographs and videos.

This cellphone has only a 5 megapixels back camera. This cellphone also films videos in VGA 640x480. This phone also features flash.

The LG Fireweb counts with a mid sized 1540 mAh battery that provides this device a quite short battery duration. LG claims this device has a stand by time of 744 hs and a talk time of 8 hours.

The LG Fireweb features wifi connection (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a hotspot) and fast 3G internet connection, supported by HSPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM connection.

This cellphone also features some interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (for communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS, and Accelerometer.
