LG Gelato NFC Review

LG Gelato NFC is a mid-to-low level phone, packed with a 3.2 inches capacitive display, a good processing unit running at 800 MHz and a 3 MP back-facing camera. But it's time to get into more details.

This phone isn't a compact phone, taking into account that it is 4.47" long and 2.32 inches wide,but it only packs a 3.2 inches screen. LG appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.3 oz phone.

The LG Gelato NFC includes an average 3.2-inches display with a 480 x 320 resolution, making everything look quite nice. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

LG decided to build this phone using a Qualcomm MSM7227T chip, packing a good processing unit running at 800 megahertz with 512 MB RAM memory. This cellphone has a 153,6 MB internal memory, a low amount that could be adequate for basic users having that it also has an SD card slot to store photographs and videos.

This phone offers Wi-Fi connectivity (but it can't be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G internet connection, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card to use GSM services.

This cellphone only has a 3 MP back facing camera. This cellphone also films VGA 640x480 videos at 24 fps. Additionally, this phone's camera also features geo tagging and auto-focus.

The LG Gelato NFC also includes many useful characteristics as NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your phone close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth (enables communication with other bluetooth cellphones and accessories), GPS Geolocation and FM Radio, and a couple sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone features a 1500 mAh mid capacity Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will probably need to charge it even after moderate usage. According to LG, this cellphone has an aproximate stand by time of 100 hs and a talk time of 4 hs.
