Philips S398 Review

Philips S398 is a mid-to-low level Android cellphone, equipped with a quite big 5 inches display, an extremely fast 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front side camera. Let's take a better view of what this phone can do.

Philips decided to power this cellphone using a very fast Quad-Core processing unit speeding at 1300 megahertz and only 1 GB RAM which is a little bit disappointing for a device of this quality. A nice advantage of this cellphone is its 8 GB quite big internal storage memory and a slot for external memory cards, which allows the user to install a couple hundred games and applications without worrying about space.

Philips is offering this phone in color 16 777 216. Being just 0.38 inches thick,this cellphone is extremely slim and good-looking. The Philips S398 is just 5.66 inches long, but it manages to hold a 5" screen. Philips didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 6 oz phone.

The Philips S398 includes a very good 720 x 1280 (HD) 5 inches screen, making everything look beautiful.

This phone has wifi capability (although it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) data connection, which is not as fast as LTE networks and 3G fast connectivity, supported by HSDPA and HSUPA technologies. The Philips S398 doesn't have a sim card, because it is not a GSM phone.

This phone is equipped with two cameras, an 8 megapixels back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera.

This phone also includes a couple of interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (4.0 ), GPS Geolocation and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
