Samsung Galaxy Nexus Review

Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a great Android phone launched many years ago, having a 4.7" touch-screen, a great performance Dual-Core processor ticking at 1200 megahertz, and 2 cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front side camera.

Samsung decided to sell this phone with a TI OMAP4460 chip, holding a good performance Dual-Core CPU ticking at 1200 MHz and 1 GB RAM memory. To help with graphic calculations, it also counts with a 200 MHz PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit. A good point of this phone is its astonishing 32 GB internal storage memory and while it doesn't count with an SD card slot, it is still enough to install hundreds of apps and even the largest games available nowadays without having to worry about running out of space.

Samsung made the Nexus in 2 color options: white and gray. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is quite a compact device, given that it presents a 4.7" display and it is just 5.33" long. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is extremely slim and stilized, being just 0.35" thick. The Nexus feels much lighter than what one would expect from a device this size.

The Nexus is equipped with two cameras, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. Its back-facing camera lens has a maximum F2.8 aperture so it has some trouble taking clear pictures in low-light conditions. It is also able to shoot videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. The camera also has a couple of interesting characteristics like auto-focus, flash and geo tagging.

Samsung packed this phone with a high-tech 4.7 inches screen, and a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD), giving this phone an amazing image quality. Its screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This phone comes with a medium sized 1750 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that can keep it running for some hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it even after moderate use. Samsung claims this phone has a talk time of 17.7 hs and a stand by time of 290 hours.

This cellphone counts with WiFi connectivity (and it can share it with other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G HSPA+ connection type, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and 3G fast connection type, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM connection.

This cellphone also comes with a few cool features as NFC (Near Field Communication), Bluetooth and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.

This device may be a little bit overvalued considering it is priced $ 100, and some similar cellphones cost a bit less than that. This cellphone is probably a good choice for you no matter whether you need a work cellphone, will use it as a social phone, want it to take plenty of pictures or want a device for playing games.
