Spice Mobile Stellar 520n Review

Spice Mobile Stellar 520n is a mid-end phone, packing a very fast Quad-Core processor ticking at 1300 MHz, a quite big 5-inches multi touch display, and 2 cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front facing camera. Is that all? Not at all, it's only the beginning of this in-depth review.

This cellphone is sold in 3 different color options, yellow, red and white. This cellphone is incredibly slim and good-looking, being just 0.33 inches thick. Although this phone is only 5.71" long, it manages to pack a 5 inches screen. This cellphone feels much lighter than what one would expect from a phone of this size.

Spice Mobile packed this cellphone with a very good 5 inches screen, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels that compose the screen. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

Spice Mobile decided to power the Spice Mobile Stellar 520n using a MediaTek MT6582 system chip, including an extremely powerful 1300 MHz Quad-Core processing unit with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a bit disappointing for such a powerful device. To collaborate with graphic calculations, it also has an ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU speeding at 416 MHz. A nice advantage of this cellphone is its quite large 8 GB internal storage and an SD memory card expansion slot, allowing the user to store hundreds of games and apps without any trouble.

The Spice Mobile Stellar 520n features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera. The camera also counts with a high number of amazing features: auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting, smile detection shooting, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This device includes wi-fi connectivity (which it can provide to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) connection type, which is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and the fastest 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone supports dual SIM cards so it can to work with 2 different phone numbers at the same time.

This phone also features a few cool features like Bluetooth, GPS Localization and Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Spice Mobile Stellar 520n comes with a mid capacity 2000 mAh Li-Ion removable battery providing this phone with a not very long battery life. According to Spice Mobile, this device has an aproximate stand by time of 200 hours and a talk time of 4 hs.
