T-Mobile G1 Review

T-Mobile G1 is a modest Android device launched many years ago, having a quite powerful 528 megahertz processor, a 3.2 inches display and a 3.2 MP back camera. Great! That's it? Not at all, it's only the starting point of this extreme review.

This phone is quite thick compared to current phones, being as thick as 0.62 inches. This device is 4.6" long and 2.16" wide, but it's only able to hold a much smaller 3.2" screen. This phone feels quite heavy comparing to other cellphones , weighting 5.57 ounces.

T-Mobile ships the T-Mobile G1 with a powerful 528 megahertz processing unit, packed into the Qualcomm MSM7201A chip and just 192 MB RAM.

This cellphone is equipped with only a 3.2 MP back facing camera. Additionally, the camera counts with auto-focus.

This cellphone has a good 3.2-inches screen with a 480 x 320 resolution, which makes all images and videos look quite good. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, but it's not multi-touch.

The T-Mobile G1 provides WiFi capability (but it can't provide it to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast internet connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The T-Mobile G1 works with a SIM card for GSM services.

This cellphone packs a 1150 mAh low capacity Li-Ion removable battery, which is quite poor for a thirsty phone like this. T-Mobile informs a 319 hs stand by time and a 6.8 hours talk time for this device.

This cellphone also features a couple cool characteristics like Bluetooth (2.0, EDR) and GPS, and some sensors likeAccelerometer and Compass.
