Toshiba TG01 Review

Toshiba TG01 is a decent quality Windows Mobile Professional cellphone, equipped with a 3.2 mega-pixels back side camera, a processor clocking at 1000 MHz and a medium sized 4.1-inches display.

This phone feels much lighter than what one would think about a cellphone this size. This phone is thin and comfortable, with a thickness of just 0.39".

This phone has a good level 800 x 480 4.1" display, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels taking part of the display. Its display uses TFT resistive technology, but it's not multi-touch.

The Toshiba TG01 is equipped with a good performance processor clocking at 1 gigahertz, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 QSD8250 system chip with only 256 MB RAM. Graphic rendering generally eats a lot of CPU processing time, so it also counts with a 128 MHz Adreno 200 graphic processing unit to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks.

This device is only equipped with a 3.2 megapixels back camera. In addition, the camera includes auto-focus.

This phone counts with WiFi capability (although it can't share it with other devices around, as a mobile mobile hotspot) and fast 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone uses a SIM card for GSM services.

This phone also features a few interesting features as Bluetooth (2.0, EDR) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and Accelerometer.

This phone features a small 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides this device a poor battery life comparing with other similar phones. Toshiba afirms this phone has a 276 hs stand by time and a 5 hs talk time.
