ZTE decided to power the ZTE Obsidian using a great performance Quad-Core processor speeding at 1 GHz, bundled in the MediaTek MT6735M system chip and 1 GB of RAM. This cellphone has a passable 4 GB internal memory, which is quite good considering that it also has an external memory card slot .
This cellphone is quite slim and looks really nice, but it's not close to being one of the thinnest devices out there, with a thickness of 0.4 inches. ZTE is offering this phone in black color. The ZTE Obsidian is much lighter than what one would think about a cellphone this size.
ZTE equipped this phone with a good looking 4.5 inches display, and a 480 x 854 resolution, giving this phone a good level graphical experience.
The ZTE Obsidian has wifi connectivity (but it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) high speed connectivity and also HSPA+ data connection, a lower speed 4G variation and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA and HSUPA technologies. This phone uses a Micro SIM card for GSM networks.
This phone has two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front facing camera. It can also shoot 1280x720 HD videos.
The ZTE Obsidian also features a couple useful characteristics as Bluetooth (4.0 ) and GPS Navigation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This phone uses a medium 1800 mAh removable battery providing this cellphone with a below average battery duration.
