ZTE Skate Review

ZTE Skate is a decent Android phone, provisioned with a medium 4.3-inches multi-touch capacitive screen, a quite powerful 800 megahertz processing unit and a 5 megapixels back camera.

ZTE did a very nice optimization job making this phone as lightweight as 4.23 oz. This phone is thin and practical, while it's not as slim as many other cellphones you can find, with a thickness of 0.41".

This phone ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 system chip, which holds a fast CPU ticking at 800 MHz and 512 MB RAM. Graphic intensive tasks often uses lots of CPU processing time, so this phone uses an Adreno 200 GPU speeding at 128 MHz to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks.

This cellphone only features a 5 megapixels back camera. In addition, the camera includes auto-focus and flash.

ZTE designed this cellphone with a good level 4.3" screen, and a 800 x 480 resolution, giving this device a nice graphical experience.

This phone offers WiFi capability (although it can't share it with other devices acting as a wireless router) and the fastest 3G data connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a SIM card for GSM services.

This device also features a couple interesting characteristics as Bluetooth (allows communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories), GPS and FM Radio, and some sensors likeProximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This cellphone comes with a medium sized 1400 mAh Li-Ion removable battery that provides this phone a poor battery durationcompared to other cellphones. ZTE informs a stand by time of 288 hs and a talk time of 5 hours for this device.
