The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than Acer Iconia A1, with a global score of 68.5 against 55.4. Both tablets we compare here come with Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.2.2 version while Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1 version, giving you a lot of extra features. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a a little lighter and way thinner tablet than the Acer Iconia A1, although both of them were released with only 4 months difference.
