Microsoft Surface Go has an overall score of 66.5, which is better than the Acer Iconia A1's global score of 55.4. Although Microsoft Surface Go is incredibly heavier than the Acer Iconia A1, it's a lot thinner and also much newer. The Microsoft Surface Go counts with Windows 10 OS, while Acer Iconia A1 comes with Android 4.1 OS.

The Microsoft Surface Go counts with a bit faster processing unit than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has 2 lesser cores and doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM. Acer Iconia A1 has a little sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Go, although it has a way worse pixel number per inch in the display, a much smaller screen and a lot lower resolution of 768 x 1024px.

The Microsoft Surface Go features a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Acer Iconia A1 has a way better battery life than Microsoft Surface Go. Acer Iconia A1 has a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface Go, although it has a much less mega-pixels camera in the back and a lower video definition.

Although Microsoft Surface Go is a better device, it costs a lot more than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Acer Iconia A1. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Go, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Acer Iconia A1, giving up some specifications.
