Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is better than Acer Iconia A1, having a global score of 65.1 against 55.4. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 works with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Acer Iconia A1 counts with Android 4.1 operating system. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a somewhat thicker and extremely heavier tablet device than the Acer Iconia A1.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a little sharper display than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a lot bigger display, a greater pixels density and a way better 1080 x 1920px resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has much more memory for applications and games than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a bit faster processing unit than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has lesser cpu cores and doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory. The Acer Iconia A1 counts with a superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
The Acer Iconia A1 captures much better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a lot better (Full HD) video definition.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia A1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Acer Iconia A1, resigning some features and specifications.
