Comparison review
Microsoft Surface RT is a little bit better than Acer Iconia A1, with a 58.4 score against 55.4. The Microsoft Surface RT counts with Windows RT OS, and Acer Iconia A1 works with Android 4.1 OS. Even though the Microsoft Surface RT is older and a lot heavier than Acer Iconia A1, it's construction is still thinner.
The Microsoft Surface RT counts with a bit better performance than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface RT also has a higher amount of RAM and a better graphics co-processor running at 520 MHz. Acer Iconia A1 counts with a slightly better looking screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a bit worse 768 x 1024px resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater screen density.
The Acer Iconia A1 captures much clearer videos and photos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rate, the Acer Iconia A1 also has a back facing camera with a way better 5 mega-pixels resolution. Microsoft Surface RT has a way bigger memory to install games and applications than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory capacity.
Acer Iconia A1 has a way better battery life than Microsoft Surface RT.
Although Microsoft Surface RT is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Acer Iconia A1. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface RT, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Acer Iconia A1, letting go a couple features and specs.
