Comparison review
Samsung Ativ Tab is way better than the Acer Iconia A1, having a overall score of 66.7 against 55.4. The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with Windows RT OS, while Acer Iconia A1 comes with Android 4.1 OS. Samsung Ativ Tab's design is incredibly thinner than the Acer Iconia A1, although it's incredibly heavier and was released about 9 months before.
The Samsung Ativ Tab features a bit better processor than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with a better graphics processing unit running at 400 MHz and more RAM memory. The Acer Iconia A1 features just a bit better screen than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a bit worse 768 x 1024 pixels resolution and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher number of pixels per inch in the screen.
Acer Iconia A1 takes much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Ativ Tab, and although they both have a back camera with a 5 mega pixels, the Acer Iconia A1 also has a much higher video resolution. Samsung Ativ Tab features much more memory capacity for applications and games than Acer Iconia A1, because it has 64 GB internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 64 GB.
The Samsung Ativ Tab has a much better battery lifetime than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a 65% more battery size.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia A1. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Acer Iconia A1, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
