Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is just a bit better than the Acer Iconia A1, having a score of 58.1 against 55.4. These devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has the older 4.0.4 version and Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is way older and incredibly heavier than the Acer Iconia A1, it's body is still much thinner.
Acer Iconia A1 has a quite better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has 2 more CPU cores and an extra GPU. The Acer Iconia A1 has a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 768 x 1024px and a way smaller display, it also counts with a quite better count of pixels in each inch of display.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a slightly bigger memory for applications and games than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 16 GB more internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with a very superior battery performance than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a 37% greater battery size.
The Acer Iconia A1 features a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Acer Iconia A1 also has higher video frame rate and a way more megapixels back camera.
Although Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia A1. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 10.1, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Acer Iconia A1, letting go a couple features and specifications.
