Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is better than the Acer Iconia A1, having a 65 score against 55.4. Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) and Acer Iconia A1 were released only 8 months apart, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s design is notably heavier but also somewhat thinner. Both devices we compare here come with the same Android 4.1 operating system, so both should give identical operating system features.

The Acer Iconia A1 counts with just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a lot smaller screen and a quite lower resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixel number in each screen inch. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as Acer Iconia A1's one, both have a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB and the same internal storage.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a little better performance than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has a lower number of cores , and they both have 1 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also counts with a better graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a superior battery performance than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a 41% larger battery capacity.

Acer Iconia A1 captures a lot better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video quality, the Acer Iconia A1 also has a back camera with a lot higher resolution.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia A1. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Acer Iconia A1, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
