Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is just a bit better than the Acer Iconia A1, getting a score of 60.7 against 55.4. Despite of the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is older than Acer Iconia A1, it's body is a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter. Both tablets in this comparison have the same Android 4.1 OS.
Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a display that is just as good as Acer Iconia A1's display, because although the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a little bit smaller display and a little bit worse resolution of 600 x 1024, it also counts with a just a little better display density. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have an external SD slot that allows up to 32 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has 32 GB internal memory capacity.
The Acer Iconia A1 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have 1 GB of RAM memory, the Acer Iconia A1 also has a graphics co-processor and more cpu cores. Acer Iconia A1 counts with a much better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a back camera with a way higher 5 mega-pixels resolution and a lot better (Full HD) video resolution.
The Acer Iconia A1 has longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 24 percent bigger battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Acer Iconia A1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), else you can save a couple dollars and get the Acer Iconia A1, letting go some features and specifications.
