Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is just a bit better than the Acer Iconia A1, getting a score of 60.7 against 55.4. Despite of the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is older than Acer Iconia A1, it's body is a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter. Acer Iconia A1 counts with a much better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a back camera with a way higher 5 mega-pixels resolution and a lot better (Full HD) video resolution.
The Acer Iconia A1 has longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 24 percent bigger battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Acer Iconia A1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), else you can save a couple dollars and get the Acer Iconia A1, letting go some features and specifications.
