Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is way better than Acer Iconia A1, with a 68.7 score against 55.4. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a way thinner and a lot lighter tablet device than the Acer Iconia A1, even when they were only released with a couple months difference. Both of these tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has newer 4.2.2 version while Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1 version.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a bit better processor than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has less cpu cores , it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and a better graphics processing unit working at 1.06 gigahertz. Acer Iconia A1 features a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, although it has a bit lower resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels, a little bit smaller screen and a bit worse display pixel density.
Acer Iconia A1 shoots clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have a 5 MP back facing camera, the Acer Iconia A1 also has a much better (Full HD) video quality. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Acer Iconia A1, because it has more internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 64 GB.
Acer Iconia A1 counts with a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has an 11% greater battery size.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a lot more expensive than the Acer Iconia A1, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra dollars.
