Comparison review
The Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids is slightly better than Acer Iconia A1, getting a global score of 57.5 against 55.4. Although the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids and the Acer Iconia A1 were released only a few months apart, the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids is notably lighter and somewhat thinner. Both tablets we are comparing here have the same Android 4.1 OS, so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding OS features.
Acer Iconia A1 features a bit faster CPU than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM memory, the Acer Iconia A1 also has an extra GPU and 2 more 1200 MHz cpu cores. Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids has a little more vivid screen than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has a little worse resolution of 600 x 1024px and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better amount of pixels in each inch in the screen.
The Acer Iconia A1 features much more storage to install applications and games than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 32 GB, the Acer Iconia A1 also has 8 GB more internal storage capacity. The Acer Iconia A1 captures much better pictures and videos than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a camera in the back with a way better resolution.
The Acer Iconia A1 features longer battery life than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has 4960mAh of battery capacity.
Although GALAXY Tab 3 Kids is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Acer Iconia A1. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Acer Iconia A1, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
