The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a global score of 70.2, which is way better than Acer Iconia A1's 55.4 overall score. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is a much newer and way thinner tablet than Acer Iconia A1, but it's much heavier. Both tablets in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a newer 8.1 Oreo version while Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1, so it gives you lots of additional features and increased performance.

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) counts with just a little better performance than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and also faster) and a greater amount of RAM memory. The Acer Iconia A1 has a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), although it has a much smaller display, way less pixels per inch of screen and a lot worse 768 x 1024 pixels resolution.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) captures way better pictures and videos than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) also has a lot better resolution back facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) counts with a much bigger storage for games and applications than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) also has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 200 GB.
