Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is much better than Acer Iconia A1, with a 74.5 score against 55.4. Both of these devices work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1 version. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a way newer and a lot thinner tablet than Acer Iconia A1, but it's notably heavier.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a bit better hardware performance than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM memory and more processing cores.
