Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is better than the Acer Iconia A1, having a 64.9 score against 55.4. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has newer 5.1 Lollipop version while Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1, providing you some extra features. The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 design is a lot newer, lighter and a lot thinner than Acer Iconia A1.

The Acer Iconia A1 counts with just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has less RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Acer Iconia A1 also counts with an additional graphics processor. The Acer Iconia A1 counts with a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, although it has a little lower resolution of 768 x 1024, a just a little lower amount of pixels per screen inch and a little smaller display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a much better camera than Acer Iconia A1. Both of them have the same 30 fps video frame rate, a same resolution back camera and the same 1280x720 video quality. Galaxy Tab E 8.0 counts with a greater memory capacity to store more games and applications than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has a SD extension slot that admits up to 128 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has just a bit better battery performance than Acer Iconia A1, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4960mAh.
