Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has an overall score of 74.6, which is a lot better than the Acer Iconia A1's 55.4 general score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and the Acer Iconia A1 were released with only 7 months difference, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 body is heavier but also a lot thinner. Both tablets we compare here come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a newer 4.4 version while Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1 version, so it offers a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a sharper screen than Acer Iconia A1, because it has way more pixels per inch in the display, a larger screen and a much higher 1600 x 2560 resolution. Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has much more storage for games and applications than Acer Iconia A1, because it has an external memory card slot that allows up to 64 GB and 32 GB internal memory capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a faster processor than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a larger amount of RAM memory and a better graphics processor running at 450 MHz. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a superior battery performance than Acer Iconia A1, because it has an 8220mAh battery size.
The Acer Iconia A1 features a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, although it has a worse video resolution and a much worse 5 mega-pixels resolution camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia A1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia A1. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Acer Iconia A1, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
