Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is much better than Acer Iconia A1, having a global score of 74.5 against 55.4. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a newer tablet, and it is also thinner and extremely lighter than the Acer Iconia A1. These devices have Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Acer Iconia A1 has Android 4.1, so it offers a couple additional features.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a bit better performance than Acer Iconia A1, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM and a higher number of cores. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much better looking display than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a bit bigger display, a way better pixels density and a much higher 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little bit better camera than Acer Iconia A1, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video definition, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a way bigger storage to store more games and applications than Acer Iconia A1, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 128 GB and 32 GB internal memory.
The Acer Iconia A1 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 both have really similar batteries duration, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a 1 percent lower battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is way more expensive than Acer Iconia A1, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra dollars.
