Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a score of 65, which is better than the Acer Iconia A1-830-1479's 54.7 general score. Both of these tablets include Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has the older 4.1 version and Acer Iconia A1-830-1479 has Android 4.2.1. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a a lot heavier and incredibly thicker tablet than Acer Iconia A1-830-1479.
The Acer Iconia A1-830-1479 counts with a bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a really smaller screen and a quite lower resolution of 1024 x 768px, it also counts with a just a little higher display pixels density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s memory for applications and games is very similar to the Acer Iconia A1-830-1479 one, both have equal internal storage and an external memory slot that holds up to 32 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with a bit better hardware performance than Acer Iconia A1-830-1479, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM and the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also has an additional GPU. Acer Iconia A1-830-1479 shoots much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video definition, the Acer Iconia A1-830-1479 also has a back facing camera with a lot higher resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a way better battery life than Acer Iconia A1-830-1479, because it has a 75% more battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) costs a bit more money than the Acer Iconia A1-830-1479, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
