Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab is much better than the Acer Iconia A3, with a 66.7 score against 55.2. Samsung Ativ Tab is an older and a little bit heavier portable tablet than Acer Iconia A3, but Samsung managed to build it somewhat thinner anyway. Samsung Ativ Tab counts with Windows RT OS, while Acer Iconia A3 counts with Android 4.2 OS.
The Acer Iconia A3 has a much better looking screen than Samsung Ativ Tab, although it has a little bit lower resolution of 800 x 1280 and a quite lower pixel density, they both have a same size screen. Samsung Ativ Tab has a little better performance than Acer Iconia A3, because although it has 2 lesser cpu cores , and they both have a 400 MHz graphics processing unit, the Samsung Ativ Tab also counts with more RAM.
The Samsung Ativ Tab features a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Acer Iconia A3, because it has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 64 GB and 48 GB more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Ativ Tab features a little bit better camera than Acer Iconia A3. Both have a same resolution camera, the same (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a much better battery performance than Acer Iconia A3, because it has 8200mAh of battery capacity against 3540mAh.
Samsung Ativ Tab costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia A3, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
