Acer Iconia A3 Review

Wi-Fi Only     See other variants reviews Score: 55.2 / 100

Acer Iconia A3 is a mid-end tablet device launched back in 2013, including a large 10.1-inches capacitive display, an extremely powerful Quad-Core processor ticking at 1.2 gigahertz, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera.

Acer has made a great job making this tablet weight just 19.75 oz. This tablet's thickness (0.4") is a bit far from today's standards, but it still feels fine in the hand. Though the Acer Iconia A3 is only 10.24" long, it still manages to hold a 10.1" display.

Acer packed the Acer Iconia A3 with a good level 10.1-inches display, and a 800 x 1280 resolution, giving this tablet a good graphical experience. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, with a 350 candela/m2 brightness and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Acer Iconia A3 is powered by a MediaTek MT8125 chip, which holds an extremely fast Quad-Core CPU ticking at 1200 MHz with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit disappointing considering its great processing power. To help with graphic rendering, this tablet also uses a PowerVR SGX544 GPU working at 200 megahertz. This tablet counts with a 16 GB quite large internal storage memory and an external SD slot, allowing the user to store hundreds of apps without any problem.

This tablet has two cameras, a 5 MP back camera and a 0.3 megapixels front facing camera. It can also capture videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD).

The Acer Iconia A3 features wifi capability (but it can't be shared with other devices as a mobile hotspot) and the fastest 3G internet connection, over HSPA and EDGE technologies. The Acer Iconia A3 doesn't use a sim card, because it isn't a GSM tablet.

This tablet comes with an awesome 3540 mAh Li-Polymer replaceable battery, enough to provide this device with an amazing battery duration.

The Acer Iconia A3 also includes a couple of nice features as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Localization, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This tablet costs $ 235, which is a really high price for comparing with similar tablets. It doesn't matter whether you will use it as a gamer device or want a social portable tablet, you will definitely be very satisfied with it.
