Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a powerful portable tablet released back in 2013, with a very fast 1600 MHz Quad-Core processor, a 8" screen, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.3 megapixels front facing camera.
This tablet is much lighter than what one would think about a tablet like this. This tablet is extremely slim and stilized, being just 0.31" thick. This tablet is a compact device, given that it presents a 8 inches screen and it is only 8.3 inches long.
Samsung ships the Note 8.0 with an extremely powerful 1600 MHz Quad-Core processor, bundled in the Samsung Exynos 4 Quad (Exynos 4412) system chip with a big 2 GB of RAM. Graphic calculations usually uses a lot of processing power, so the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 uses an extra 266 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP4 graphic processing unit to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks. This tablet has a 32 GB impressive internal storage memory and a slot for an external memory card, allowing you to install tons of applications, games, photos and videos without thinking about how much memory is left.
This tablet features two cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front-facing camera. It can also shoot 1280x720 HD videos at 30 fps. This tablet also has a few good characteristics like auto-focus, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.
Samsung equipped the Note 8.0 with a interesting 8" screen, and a 800 x 1280 resolution, providing this portable tablet with a nice image quality. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
The Note 8.0 counts with WiFi connection (although it can't be shared with other devices around, acting as a modem or router), HSPA+ 4G internet connection, which is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Note 8.0 works with a SIM card for GSM connection.
This tablet also includes a couple useful features such as Bluetooth (allows communication with other bluetooth tablets, computers and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with an inmense 4600 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery providing this device an impressive battery duration. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery is not replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts losing capacity, even though with this big battery you will probably discard this tablet before that becomes a real problem.
Samsung is offering the Note 8.0 for 230 dollars, which is rather expensive for comparing with other similar tablets. If you will use it as a work tablet, are looking for a portable tablet to play lots of games, want this device to take tons of photos or are looking for a portable tablet majorly for internet broswing and social networks, you will definitely be very satisfied with this tablet.
