Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a powerful Android tablet launched some years ago, in 2013, equipped with a high speed 1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor, a good size 8" capacitive screen, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 megapixels front camera.
Even though this device just has 8.3" long and 5.35" wide, it still manages to hold a 8" display. Being just 0.31" thick, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is incredibly thin and good-looking. Samsung did an excellent job making the Note 8.0 weight only 11.92 oz.
Samsung decided to equip this tablet using a very powerful 1600 MHz Quad-Core processor, packed into a Samsung Exynos 4 Quad (Exynos 4412) system chip with a large 2 GB of RAM. To help with graphic calculations, it also has a 266 MHz ARM Mali-400 MP4 graphic processing unit. A nice point of this tablet is the 16 GB quite big internal storage and an SD card slot, which allows the user to store a couple hundred apps and games without any problem.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is equipped with two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It can also capture videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 30 frames per second. Additionally, this portable tablet's camera also counts with some interesting features like auto-focus, geo tagging and smile detection shooting.
The Note 8.0 includes a interesting 8-inches screen with a 800 x 1280 resolution, giving this tablet a decent graphic quality. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.
The Note 8.0 counts with a huge 4600 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery that can keep this tablet running for several hours and even reach the end of the day without having to charge it. An issue to take into account is that the Note 8.0's battery is non-removable so you can't change it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, though with this big battery you will probably replace this tablet before it happens.
This tablet includes WiFi connectivity (but it can't be provided to other devices acting as a hotspot), LTE (4G) high performance connection type and also HSPA+ data connection, which is a bit slower 4G network and 3G fast data connection, using HSDPA, HSPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet uses a SIM card for GSM networks.
The Note 8.0 also includes a handful of cool features as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This device might not be a great choice considering it is offerred for 285 dollars, and other similar tablets are quite cheaper than that. No matter if you will use it for gaming, will use it as a work tablet, want it majorly for social networks and internet browsing or are an amateur photographer, you will probably love this tablet device.
