Apple iPad mini Review

Apple iPad mini is a high-end tablet device, packing a good size 7.9" multi-touch capacitive screen, a powerful Dual-Core CPU running at 1000 megahertz, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front facing camera.

Apple decided to power this device using a good performance Dual-Core processor ticking at 1000 MHz, packed into an Apple A5 system chip with 512 MB of RAM. Graphic rendering generally eats lots of processing power, so it also has a 200 megahertz PowerVR SGX543 MP2 GPU to take care of them, leaving the CPU free for other tasks. A great aspect of the Apple iPad mini is its large 64 GB internal memory and even though it doesn't have an SD extension slot, it it is more than enough to store hundreds of applications and even the heaviest games available nowadays without having to worry about filling it.

Talking about its construction materials, the Apple iPad mini is majorly created with Aluminium, which gives it a premium look and high resistance. This tablet is offerred in 2 different colors, black and white. This tablet is much lighter than what you would expect from a tablet device like this. The iPad mini is only 7.87" long, but it's still able to fit a a 7.9" screen. Being just 0.28" thick,this tablet is incredibly slim and practical.

The Apple iPad mini is equipped with two cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 1.2 megapixels front side camera. It is also able to capture videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also has lots of cool features like auto-focus, digital image stabilization, HDR mode, face detection shooting, time lapse video and geo tagging.

Apple packed this tablet with a interesting 7.9" display, and a 768 x 1024 resolution, which makes everything look quite nice. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This tablet offers Wi-Fi connectivity (which it can provide to other devices acting as a modem), 4G LTE fast connectivity and also HSPA+ data connection, a lower speed 4G type and the fastest 3G connection type, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The iPad mini works with a Nano SIM card for GSM carriers and it works with both CDMA and GSM networks.

The iPad mini also comes with a few useful characteristics as Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This tablet features a 4440 mAh big capacity Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery, enough to provide this device with a great battery life. An issue to evaluate is that the iPad mini's battery is not replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, while with such a great capacity you will probably buy a new tablet before it happens.

This tablet is being sold for about 281 dollars, which is a very high price for a portable tablet this level.
