Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a brilliantly designed Android portable tablet released in January 2014, packed with a 10.1" multi-touch display, a very fast Octa-Core processor (as a matter of fact they are really a Quad-Core ticking at 1.9 GHz and an additional Quad-Core speeding at 1300 megahertz), an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front camera.

The Tab Pro 10.1 is very slim and comfortable, with a thickness of just 0.29". This tablet is only 9.57" long and 6.75" wide, but it is still able to fit a a 10.1" screen. This tablet feels much lighter than what you expect from a portable tablet like this. This tablet is available just in white color.

Samsung packed the Tab Pro 10.1 with a very good 10.1-inches display, and a resolution of 1600 x 2560 , giving this tablet a detailed graphic quality. Its display uses Super Clear LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Tab Pro 10.1 comes with a Exynos 5 Octa chip, backed up by a great Octa-Core processing unit (formed by a Quad-Core clocking at 1.9 GHz and another Quad-Core ticking at 1300 MHz) and a great 2 GB of RAM memory. To collaborate with graphic rendering, it also has an ARM Mali-T628 MP6 graphic processing unit working at 600 megahertz. This tablet has a 32 GB awesome internal storage and an SD memory card expansion slot, allowing you to install hundreds of apps and even the largest games currently available without even thinking about how much storage capacity is left.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 MP front camera. It is capable of capturing videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD). In addition, this portable tablet's camera also features some interesting characteristics: auto-focus, flash, smile detection shooting, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This device comes with a 8220 mAh massive non-replaceable battery that can keep this tablet running for several hours and even reach the end of the day without having to charge it at all. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery is non-removable so you can't change it when it starts to last shorter, although with so much capacity you will probably discard this portable tablet before it becomes an issue.

The Tab Pro 10.1 counts with wi-fi connectivity (and it can be shared with other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE great performance connection type and also HSPA+ internet connection, which is a bit slower 4G variation and 3G fast internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet works with a SIM card to use GSM services.

The Tab Pro 10.1 also comes with some useful features such as Infrared Transmitter, Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Localization, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Samsung sells this tablet for 285 dollars, which is a quite high price for a device this level.
