Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a breath-taking tablet released some years ago, in 2014, with a high speed Quad-Core processor clocking at 2300 megahertz, a big size 10.1 inches screen, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. But it's time to get into more details.

This device is much lighter than what one would expect from a tablet of this size. Samsung only offers this tablet in color white. This device is quite a compact device, considering it presents a 10.1 inches screen and it has just 9.57 inches long. This tablet is very slim and comfortable, being just 0.29" thick.

Samsung decided to design this tablet using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 system chip, including a high speed Quad-Core processing unit ticking at 2300 MHz and a large 2 GB of RAM. Graphic rendering often uses lots of CPU time, so this device uses an additional Adreno 330 GPU working at 450 MHz to unload the CPU. A nice point of the Tab Pro 10.1 is its quite large 16 GB internal storage memory and an external memory slot, allowing you to store a couple hundred apps and games without worrying about space.

Samsung packed the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 with a nice 10.1-inches display, and a resolution of 1600 x 2560 , which makes it hard to see the pixels that compose the display. This display uses Super Clear LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

This device provides wifi connectivity (which can be shared with other devices around, acting as a wireless router), 4G LTE high performance connection type and also HSPA+ connection type, which is a lower speed 4G technology and fast 3G internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 works with a SIM card to use GSM services.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera. It can also shoot videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD). Additionally, the camera counts with some good characteristics like flash, auto-focus, smile detection shooting, geo tagging and HDR mode.

This tablet counts with a 8220 mAh inmense non-removable battery providing this tablet an impressive battery life. An issue to consider is that the Tab Pro 10.1's battery is non-removable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it begins to live shorter, whereas with its 8220 mAh you will probably buy a new tablet before that happens.

The Tab Pro 10.1 also comes with a handful of nice features as Infrared Port, Bluetooth (allows communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Samsung sells this tablet for 539 dollars, which is high for a tablet device this level. The Tab Pro 10.1 is probably the correct choice for you it doesn't matter whether you will use this tablet mainly for social networks, want a gamer tablet, want it to take plenty of photos or want it for work.
