Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is a great Android tablet launched in January 2014, which counts with a big size 12.2-inches multi-touch capacitive display, an extremely powerful Octa-Core processor (actually, it has a Quad-Core ticking at 1.9 gigahertz and an additional Quad-Core running at 1300 MHz), and two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front facing camera. But it's time to get into much more detail.

Samsung decided to power this tablet with a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa chip, packing a high performance Octa-Core processor (composed by a Quad-Core at 1.9 gigahertz and an additional Quad-Core ticking at 1.3 GHz) with a huge 3 GB RAM memory. To collaborate with graphic calculations, it also counts with an ARM Mali-T628 MP6 graphics processing unit working at 600 MHz. This tablet comes with a huge 64 GB internal storage memory and a slot for SD memory cards, more than enough to install hundreds of apps without worrying about how much storage is left.

Samsung did an excellent job making this tablet as lightweight as 26.1 oz. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is very slim and stilized, being just 0.31 inches thick. While this tablet is just 11.64 inches long and 8.03 inches wide, it is able to fit a a 12.2 inches screen.

This tablet features two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. It is also able to capture videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 60 frames per second. Additionally, the camera has some interesting features like flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.

This tablet includes a very good 12.2 inches display with a 1600 x 2560 resolution, which makes all photos and movies look very nice. Its display uses Super Clear LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.

This device uses a 9500 mAh great non-removable battery, enough to provide this tablet with an extremely long battery duration. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery is not removable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins losing capacity, whereas with this big battery you will probably buy a new tablet device before that happens.

This tablet provides wi-fi capability (which it can provide to other devices as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) high performance data connection and also HSPA+ data connection, a bit slower 4G technology and 3G fast connectivity, over HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet uses a SIM card for GSM connection.

The Tab Pro 12.2 also features a couple interesting features as Infrared Port, Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This tablet is very overvalued considering it costs $ 540, while many similar tablets are a lot cheaper than that. No matter whether you want this tablet to take many photographs, want a social tablet, want it for work or need a tablet for playing games, this tablet is probably a very good choice for you.
