Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 Review

Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is a top-notch device released many years ago, with a 12.2 inches multi touch screen, an extremely powerful Octa-Core CPU (as a matter of fact they are really a Quad-Core at 1.9 GHz and an additional Quad-Core running at 1300 MHz), and two cameras, an 8 MP back camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera.

Samsung appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 26.56 oz tablet. This device is a compact device, considering it packs a 12.2 inches screen and it is just 11.64" long and 8.03 inches wide. The NotePRO 12.2 has a gorgeous design, with a thickness of just 0.31 inches.

This tablet comes with a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa system chip, packing a very fast Octa-Core processor (actually, it has a Quad-Core speeding at 1.9 gigahertz and another Quad-Core clocking at 1300 megahertz) with a huge 3 GB of RAM. Handling graphic rendering, the NotePRO 12.2 also has an ARM Mali-T628 MP6 graphics processing unit running at 600 megahertz. An excellent feature of the NotePRO 12.2 is the 64 GB big internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards, allowing you to store hundreds of applications and even the largest games currently available without worrying about running out of space at all.

Samsung equipped the NotePRO 12.2 with a good looking 12.2 inches display, and a resolution of 1600 x 2560 , which makes everything look great. Its display uses Super Clear LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This tablet offers wi-fi capability (which can be shared with other devices acting as a wireless router or modem), LTE (4G) great performance internet connection and also HSPA+ data connection, a slower 4G technology and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet works with a SIM card to use GSM services.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has two cameras, an 8 megapixels back camera and a 2 MP front side camera. The NotePRO 12.2 also shoots videos in Full HD 1920x1080 at 30 fps. The camera also features a couple of interesting characteristics: flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.

This tablet also comes with a couple cool features as Infrared Blaster, Bluetooth (provides communication with other bluetooth devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This tablet packs a 9500 mAh inmense non-removable battery, enough to provide the NotePRO 12.2 with an amazing battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that the NotePRO 12.2's battery isn't removable so you can't change it when it begins to get older, though with such a huge battery size you will probably replace this tablet device before it becomes a real problem.

The NotePRO 12.2 is probably a little overpriced considering it costs 249 dollars, while some similar tablet devices can be found for less money.
