Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 Review

Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is a top-level Android device released many years ago, packed with a high performance 2300 MHz Quad-Core processor, a big size 12.2-inches touch-screen, and two cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

Being just 0.31" thick,the NotePRO 12.2 is very thin and stilized. Even though this tablet only has 11.64" long and 8.03" wide, it is able to fit a a 12.2 inches display. Samsung appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 26.56 oz tablet device.

Samsung equipped this tablet with a interesting 12.2" screen, and a 1600 x 2560 resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels taking part of the screen. This screen uses Super Clear LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

The NotePRO 12.2 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 system chip, including an extremely powerful 2.3 gigahertz Quad-Core processor with a large 3 GB RAM memory. Graphic rendering often consume a lot of processing time, so the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 also has an additional Adreno 330 GPU ticking at 450 megahertz to help with that calculations. A key advantage of this tablet is its inmense 64 GB internal memory and a slot for an external memory card, which allows you to install tons of apps, games, photos and videos without having to worry about how much storage capacity is left.

The NotePRO 12.2 is equipped with two cameras, an 8 MP back facing camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera. It is also able to capture Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 frames per second. This camera also features a couple of nice features like flash, geo tagging and auto-focus.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 features wifi capability (and it can provide it to other devices around, acting as a router), LTE (4G) high speed data connection and also HSPA+ internet connection, that is a lower speed 4G technology and 3G fast connectivity, using HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet works with a SIM card to use GSM services.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 packs a large 9500 mAh non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 with an extremely long battery duration. An issue to consider is that the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2's battery is not removable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts to get older, while with such a great capacity you will probably buy a new portable tablet before that happens.

This tablet also includes some nice characteristics like Infrared Transmitter, Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Localization, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Samsung is offering the NotePRO 12.2 for $ 1615, which is a very high price for this type of tablet device. The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is a good choice if you are a photography fan, want this tablet for playing games, will use it for work or want a device mostly for internet broswing and social networks.
