Apple iPad mini 2 Review

Apple iPad mini 2 is a breath-taking iOS portable tablet launched back in the year 2013, coming with a high-tech 1.3 gigahertz Dual-Core 64 bit CPU, a quite big 7.9" screen, and two cameras, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front side camera.

The iPad mini 2 is extremely thin, being just 0.3" thick. The Apple iPad mini 2 is quite a compact tablet, taking into account that it presents a 7.9" screen and it has just 7.87" long. Apple didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 12.03 oz tablet. Apple offers this tablet in black, gray and white. About its body materials, the iPad mini 2 is mostly manufactured with Aluminium, which gives a quality look and high resistance.

Apple designed this tablet with a beautiful 7.9" display, and a resolution of 1536 x 2048 , making everything look absolutely perfect. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

Apple decided to design this tablet using a Apple A7 system chip, holding a very fast 1300 megahertz Dual-Core 64 bit processing unit with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little poor for a tablet this good. Helping with graphic intensive tasks, it also counts with a 600 MHz PowerVR G6430 graphics processing unit. This tablet comes with a large 64 GB internal memory and whereas it doesn't come with an SD memory card expansion slot, it is still enough to store lots of applications, games, songs, pictures and videos without worrying about filling the device.

The iPad mini 2 features WiFi capability (which can be provided to other devices acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) high performance connection type and fast 3G internet connection, supported by HSPA, UMTS, EV-DO A, EV-DO B and EDGE technologies. The Apple iPad mini 2 works with a Nano SIM card for GSM services and it can connect using both CDMA and GSM carriers.

The Apple iPad mini 2 has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 1.2 MP front side camera. This tablet can also shoot Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 frames per second. In addition, this tablet's camera also counts with a large number of cool characteristics: auto-focus, digital image stabilization, HDR mode, face detection shooting, geo tagging and time lapse video.

This tablet features a 6471 mAh amazing Li-Polymer non-removable battery that can keep it running for several hours without charging it at all. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery is not removable so you won't be able to replace it when it starts losing capacity, although with such a big battery you will probably discard this portable tablet before it becomes a real problem.

This tablet also features a couple cool features such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Apple offers this tablet for 250 dollars, which is quite high for a portable tablet this level.
