Apple iPad mini 2 Review

Apple iPad mini 2 is a high quality iOS tablet released some years ago, in 2013, counting with a 7.9" screen, an extremely powerful 64 bits Dual-Core processing unit speeding at 1.3 GHz, a 5 MP back camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front facing camera.

It appears that Apple forgot about weight optimization in this 12.03 oz tablet device. Regarding its body materials, the iPad mini 2 is created with Aluminium, which gives it a premium feel and improved resistance. The iPad mini 2 is a very compact tablet, given that it features a 7.9 inches display and it is only 7.87" long. A good point of the iPad mini 2 is its quite big 16 GB internal storage memory and even though it doesn't count with an external SD slot, it is enough to install hundreds of apps, although it probably wouldn't be suitable if you are planning to install a couple of the largest games currently available.

The iPad mini 2 features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front facing camera. This tablet can also film 1920x1080 Full HD videos at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also has a large number of cool features like digital image stabilization, auto-focus, HDR mode, face detection shooting, geo tagging and time lapse video.

This tablet has an inmense 6471 mAh Li-Polymer non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Apple iPad mini 2 with a great battery duration. An issue to take into consideration is that this tablet's battery is non-removable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it begins to have trouble holding its charge, though having 6471 mAh you will probably discard this tablet before that becomes an issue.

This device includes wifi capability (and it can provide it to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), LTE 4G fast internet connection and 3G fast connectivity, using HSPA, UMTS, EV-DO A, EV-DO B and EDGE technologies. This tablet works with a Nano SIM card for GSM carriers and it can use both GSM and CDMA networks.

This device also features a handful of interesting characteristics such as Bluetooth (4.0) and GPS Localization, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This tablet is very overvalued considering it is priced $ 425, while some similar tablets are a lot cheaper than that. This tablet is probably the right choice for you no matter whether you are a photography fan, will use it to play tons of games, want a social tablet or need this tablet for work.
