Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is an amazing Android tablet released back in the year 2012, equipped with a big size 10.1" multi touch screen, a very fast 1.5 GHz Dual-Core CPU, and two cameras, a 3 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front-facing camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 just has 10.1" long, but it still manages to hold a 10.1 inches display. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is just 0.38 inches thick, taking it to the thinnest tablet's category. Apparently Samsung forgot about optimizing the weight in this 20.64 oz portable tablet.

Samsung ships this tablet with a high speed Dual-Core CPU running at 1500 MHz, included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chip with only 1 GB of RAM which is a little bit poor comparing with this tablet's impressive CPU. To handle graphic calculations, it also counts with a 400 MHz Adreno 225 graphics processing unit. A good advantage of this tablet is its quite large 8 GB internal memory and an external SD slot, allowing you to store hundreds of apps and games without running out of space.

The Tab 2 10.1 is equipped with two cameras, a 3 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 0.3 megapixels front side camera. The camera also has geo tagging.

This tablet has a good 10.1-inches screen with a 800 x 1280 resolution, providing this tablet with a regular graphic quality. Its screen uses Super PLS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This device provides wi-fi capability (and it can be provided to other devices as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) high speed data connection and 3G connectivity, using EV-DO A technologies. This tablet doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM services.

The Tab 2 10.1 uses a great 7000 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Tab 2 10.1 with a great battery life. An issue to take into consideration is that this tablet's battery isn't removable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, though with such a big battery you will probably discard this portable tablet before it becomes a real problem.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 also includes a few nice characteristics like Infrared Port, Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Samsung sells the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for $ 420, which is very expensive for comparing with other similar tablets. It doesn't matter whether you want a gamer tablet, want a tablet to mostly use social networks, want a device for work or are a photography fan, you will probably be very pleased with this tablet.
