Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a good quality tablet released back in the year 2012, packing a 1000 MHz Dual-Core processor, an enormous 10.1 inches screen, and two cameras, a 3 mega-pixels back camera and a 0.3 megapixels front camera.

This tablet is just 0.38" thick, making it one of the thinnest tablets in the market. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is only 10.1" long, it manages to hold a 10.1 inches display. This time, it seems like Samsung decided not to care so much about the weight in this 20.74 oz tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) includes an average 800 x 1280 10.1 inches display, which makes all images and movies look quite good. This display uses Super PLS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

Samsung sells this tablet with a powerful 1000 megahertz Dual-Core CPU and 1 GB of RAM memory. A nice feature of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is the 8 GB quite big internal memory and an external SD slot, enough to store hundreds of games and applications without worrying about space.

This tablet has two cameras, a 3 MP back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. The Tab 2 (10.1) can also capture videos in HD 1280x720 at 30 fps. This tablet also counts with geo tagging.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) provides WiFi capability (although it can't be provided to other devices around, acting as a modem or router), 4G LTE high speed connection type and also HSPA+ internet connection, a slower 4G technology and 3G fast connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA and UMTS technologies. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't support GSM connections and it can connect to CDMA networks.

This tablet features an inmense 7000 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, enough to provide this tablet with a great battery duration. An issue to take into consideration is that the Tab 2 (10.1)'s battery isn't replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to live shorter, whereas with such a great capacity you will probably buy a new tablet before that becomes a real problem.

This tablet also comes with a handful of interesting characteristics as Bluetooth (3.0) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
