Comparison review

The Xperia Tablet Z is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), getting a general score of 67.2 against 61.4. Xperia Tablet Z's design is newer, lighter and a lot thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both tablets in this comparison review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia Tablet Z has the newer 4.2.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1 version, so it provides you a couple nice extra features.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a much sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a much higher quantity of pixels per inch in the display. Xperia Tablet Z counts with a superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 64 GB, the Xperia Tablet Z also has 16 GB internal storage.

The Xperia Tablet Z features a superior CPU than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a greater number of cores , an additional graphics co-processor and 1 GB more RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features superior battery life than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because it has a 7000mAh battery size. Xperia Tablet Z counts with a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a way more MP camera and a much better (Full HD) video quality.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z costs a little more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), but it's still a great choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
