Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a little outdated device released in February 2012, with a great performance Dual-Core CPU speeding at 1000 MHz, a huge 10.1 inches multi-touch screen, and 2 cameras, a 3 megapixels back facing camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. But let's get into some more details.

The Tab 2 (10.1) is just 0.38 inches thick, taking it to the thinnest tablet device's category. This device is a very compact tablet, considering it has a 10.1 inches screen and it has just 10.1 inches long. It appears that Samsung forgot about optimizing the weight in this 20.74 oz tablet.

Samsung equipped this tablet with a great performance 1 GHz Dual-Core processing unit and 1 GB RAM memory. A good point of this device is its inmense 32 GB internal storage memory and a slot for external memory cards, which allows you to store hundreds of applications without having to worry about running out of space.

This tablet is equipped with two cameras, a 3 MP back-facing camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. It is also able to shoot videos up to 1280x720 (HD) at 30 frames per second. Additionally, this portable tablet's camera also includes geo tagging.

This device includes a good 10.1-inches display with a 800 x 1280 resolution, which makes all images and movies look quite colorful and brightful. Its display uses Super PLS LCD capacitive technology, and is multi-touch enabled.

This device has wifi connectivity (although it can't be shared with other devices acting as a router), 4G HSPA+ connectivity, which is not as fast as LTE networks and fast 3G connectivity, over HSDPA, HSUPA and UMTS technologies. This tablet doesn't use a sim card, because it isn't a GSM tablet and it works with CDMA carriers.

This device comes with an awesome 7000 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery, enough to provide this tablet with an incredibly long battery life. An issue to take into account is that this device's battery is not replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to lose its charge, whereas with this big battery you will probably discard this device before that becomes an issue.

This tablet also features a couple of useful features as Bluetooth (allows communication with other tablets and accessories) and GPS (Global Positioning System), and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

Samsung offers the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) for 329 dollars, which is high for comparing with other similar tablets. It doesn't matter whether you need a tablet device mainly for internet broswing and social networks, want this device to take plenty of photos, want a device to play games or are looking for a portable tablet for work, you will definitely be very pleased with it.
