Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), having a global score of 67.4 against 61.4. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's body is newer, noticeably lighter and incredibly thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both tablets we compare here have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has newer 4.2.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1 version.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a graphics co-processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with a higher quantity of pixels per display inch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a greater storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a SD extension slot that supports 32 GB smaller, it also counts with 16 GB more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 57 percent greater battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a camera in the back with a lot better resolution.
In addition to being the best tablet in this comparison, Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is also by far the cheapest.
