Apple iPad mini 3 Review

Apple iPad mini 3 is a very high quality tablet released back in 2014, provisioned with a pretty large 7.9-inches multi-touch capacitive screen, a very powerful 1.3 gigahertz Dual-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 1.2 MP front-facing camera.

Regarding its construction, the Apple iPad mini 3 is made of Aluminium, giving this tablet a quality look and an extra resistance. Being just 0.3 inches thick,this tablet is incredibly slim and good-looking. This tablet is a compact tablet, given that it presents a 7.9" display and it is only 7.87" long. Apple didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 11.68 ounces tablet. This tablet is available in 2 different colors, gray and gold.

The iPad mini 3 ships with a Apple A7 chip, including an extremely powerful 64 bit Dual-Core processing unit running at 1300 megahertz with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little low comparing with the Apple iPad mini 3's great processor. Graphic intensive tasks often uses lots of processor cycles, so it has a 600 megahertz PowerVR G6430 GPU to help handle those graphic tasks. A good advantage of this tablet is its large 64 GB internal storage memory and though it doesn't include an external SD slot, it is still enough to store tons of apps, games, songs, pictures and videos without having to worry about running out of space.

Apple designed this tablet with a gorgeous 7.9" screen, and a 1536 x 2048 resolution, which makes everything look absolutely perfect. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The iPad mini 3 has WiFi connectivity (which can be provided to other devices as a mobile hotspot), LTE (4G) fast connectivity and 3G fast data connection, supported by HSPA, EV-DO A, EV-DO B and EDGE technologies. This device works with a Nano SIM card to use GSM services.

The iPad mini 3 is equipped with two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.2 MP front facing camera. It is capable of filming videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. To complete the camera, it also includes multiple interesting characteristics: auto-focus, face detection shooting, digital image stabilization, time lapse video, HDR mode and geo tagging.

This tablet packs a 6350 mAh incredible non-replaceable battery providing this tablet an extremely long battery life. An issue to evaluate is that this tablet's battery is not replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to last shorter, although with its 6350 mAh you will probably replace this tablet before it becomes a real problem.

The iPad mini 3 also comes with a couple of interesting characteristics like Fingerprint Scanner, Bluetooth (for communication with other tablets, computers and accessories) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Apple is offering the iPad mini 3 for 320 dollars, which is quite a high price for this kind of tablet.
