Apple iPad Air Review

Apple iPad Air is a fascinating portable tablet launched in October 2013, featuring a 9.7-inches capacitive touch-screen, an extremely fast Dual-Core processing unit speeding at 1.4 gigahertz, and two cameras, a 5 MP back-facing camera and a 1.2 mega-pixels front camera.

Apple has made a really good job making the iPad Air weight only 16.86 oz. This tablet is available in three different color options, black, gray and white. This device is only 9.45 inches long and 6.67 inches wide, but it manages to hold a 9.7 inches screen. This tablet is thin, with a thickness of just 0.3 inches. Regarding its construction materials, this tablet is majorly built with Aluminium, giving it a high quality design and improved resistance.

Apple decided to equip this device using a Apple A7 system chip, backed up by a high performance 64-bit Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1.4 GHz and only 1 GB RAM which is a little bit low for a device this powerful. Graphic intensive tasks generally uses a lot of processing time, so it uses a PowerVR G6430 GPU clocking at 600 megahertz to take care of them, leaving the processor free for other tasks. An excellent aspect of the iPad Air is its astonishing 128 GB internal storage and although it doesn't have an SD extension slot, it is still enough to store tons of applications, games, pictures and videos without thinking about running out of space at all.

The Apple iPad Air has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 1.2 MP front side camera. It is also able to film videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. Additionally, the camera includes a lot of valuable features: digital image stabilization, auto-focus, HDR mode, face detection shooting, geo tagging and time lapse video.

Apple designed the iPad Air with a good looking 9.7" screen, and a 1536 x 2048 resolution, making everything look vivid. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This tablet features an awesome 8820 mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery, enough to provide this tablet with an amazing battery duration. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery is not replaceable so you can't change it when it begins to have trouble holding its charge, whereas with so much capacity you will probably buy a new device before that becomes an issue.

This tablet features Wi-Fi connection (and it can provide it to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high performance connectivity and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSPA, EV-DO A, EV-DO B and EDGE technologies. This tablet uses a Nano SIM card for GSM carriers.

The iPad Air also comes with a couple of interesting characteristics like Bluetooth and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Apple offers the iPad Air for 280 dollars, which is not a very good offer for a device this level. If you want it for work, want it to take tons of photographs, need a tablet majorly for internet broswing and social networks or are looking for a gaming tablet device, this tablet is the correct option for you.
