The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, having a 74.4 score against 74.2. Both tablets in this comparison review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a newer 4.4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has Android 4.4 version, so it provides the user lots of additional features and performance optimizations. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a thinner and notably lighter device than the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, even though they were released only a couple of months apart.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 2560 x 1600px resolution, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a little more pixels per display inch. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has less RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also counts with an extra graphics processor.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 takes much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. They have the same (Full HD) video quality, the same video frame rate and a 8 MP camera in the back. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a slightly bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 128 GB.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has an 8220mAh battery size.
