Apple iPad mini Review

Apple iPad mini is a high-end portable tablet, packed with a quite big 7.9 inches multi-touch capacitive screen, a great performance 1000 megahertz Dual-Core processing unit, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back side camera and a 1.2 megapixels front-facing camera.

This tablet comes with a fast 1000 megahertz Dual-Core processing unit, bundled in the Apple A5 chip and 512 MB of RAM memory. To handle graphic rendering, it also uses a 200 MHz PowerVR SGX543 MP2 graphics processing unit. A great feature of this tablet is its huge 32 GB internal memory and although it doesn't have an SD memory slot, it is still enough to store hundreds of applications and even the largest games available nowadays without even thinking about how much storage capacity is left.

This device has a wonderful design, with a thickness of just 0.28 inches. This tablet is a compact device, taking into account that it presents a 7.9 inches display and it is just 7.87" long. This tablet is sold in two colors, black and white. Apple did an amazing optimization job making this tablet weight just 11.01 oz. Regarding its design materials, the iPad mini is created with Aluminium, giving this tablet a top level feel and improved resistance.

This tablet includes a good 7.9" screen with a 768 x 1024 resolution, making everything look quite nice. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This tablet has WiFi connection (and it can be provided to other devices as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) high speed internet connection and also HSPA+ data connection, a lower speed 4G variation and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Apple iPad mini works with a Nano SIM card to use GSM services and it can use both GSM and CDMA carriers.

The iPad mini features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back facing camera and a 1.2 MP front side camera. It is also able to capture videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second. Additionally, this tablet device's camera also includes a large number of interesting features like digital image stabilization, auto-focus, face detection shooting, time lapse video, HDR mode and geo tagging.

The iPad mini also includes some interesting features such as Bluetooth (allows communication with other devices, computers and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

The iPad mini has an awesome 4440 mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery that can keep this tablet running for many hours without having to charge it. An issue to evaluate is that this tablet's battery is not removable so you can't change it when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, though with such a big battery you will probably replace this tablet before it happens.

Apple offers the Apple iPad mini for 269 dollars, which is not a really offer for this type of portable tablet. If you want a portable tablet for work, will use it as a social tablet, will use it as a gaming device or are a photography fan, you will probably be very satisfied with it.
