Comparison review
The iPad mini is a bit better than the iPod Touch 5th Generation, getting a global score of 66.5 against 62.7. These tablets include iOS OS (operating system), but iPad mini has a more recent 8.x version while iPod Touch 5th Generation has iOS 7.x. Despite being the best portable tablet in our current comparison, iPad mini is a somewhat thicker and extremely heavier portable tablet than iPod Touch 5th Generation.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation's processor is just as good as Apple iPad mini's CPU, both have 2 cores, 512 MB of RAM and a 400 MHz graphics processor. Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation has a brighter screen than iPad mini, because although it has a bit lower 1136 x 640 pixels resolution and a much smaller display, it also counts with a way better display pixels density.
The iPod Touch 5th Generation has a much bigger memory to store more apps and games than iPad mini, because it has 64 GB internal memory. Apple iPad mini counts with a much longer battery duration than iPod Touch 5th Generation, because it has a 4440mAh battery size. The iPod Touch 5th Generation counts with a camera that is very similar to the iPad mini one, both of them have a same resolution back camera, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, a same size aperture and the same video frame rate.
IPad mini costs a bit more than the Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
