The Galaxy Note 8.0 has an overall score of 68.4, which is a little bit better than the Google Nexus 10's global score of 68.1. The Galaxy Note 8.0 construction is notably lighter and thinner than Google Nexus 10, even when both of them were released with only a couple months difference. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but Galaxy Note 8.0 has the older 4.4.2 version and Google Nexus 10 has Android 5.1 version.
The Google Nexus 10 features a sharper screen than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a lot greater screen pixel density, a much better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a bigger display. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a quite superior performance than Google Nexus 10, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has 2 more cores and a graphics processing unit. The Google Nexus 10 counts with a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a 96% greater battery capacity.
Google Nexus 10 captures a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have a 5 MP resolution back facing camera, the Google Nexus 10 also has a lot higher video quality.
Although Galaxy Note 8.0 is a better device, it costs more than Google Nexus 10, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Nexus 10. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Note 8.0, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Google Nexus 10, resigning some specifications.
