Comparison review

Asus MeMO Pad 8 is just a bit better than Acer Iconia A3, getting a overall score of 60.1 against 55.2. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a way lighter and incredibly thinner tablet than the Acer Iconia A3, although both were released only 8 months apart. Both tablets in our current comparison include Android OS (operating system), but the Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a more recent 4.4 version and Acer Iconia A3 has Android 4.2, giving you a couple additional features.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a bit better display than Acer Iconia A3, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher 1920 x 1200px resolution and a lot greater pixel density. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a bit bigger memory to store more apps and games than Acer Iconia A3, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a little better performance than Acer Iconia A3, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 takes clearer pictures and videos than Acer Iconia A3. They have a back-facing camera with a 5 mega-pixels, the same 1280x720 video quality and the same video frame rates.

The Acer Iconia A3 features a much better battery lifetime than Asus MeMO Pad 8.
